Organization:

  • Setup: Create a diamond shape around a central zone, using cones to define the space.

    • Central zone: 7x7 meters.

    • Diamond zone: Approximately 20x20 meters (adjust based on player age and ability).

  • Players: Assign 4-5 players at the start of the diamond and 1 inside the central zone and the other places of the diamond.

  • Objective: Develop precise passing, movement off the ball, and quick combinations.

Key Coaching Points:

  • Passing Quality: Ensure passes are accurate, crisp, and properly weighted.

  • Body Position: Players should maintain an open body posture to quickly transition between receiving and passing.

  • Communication: Encourage verbal and non-verbal communication to improve teamwork.

  • Timing: Focus on the timing of passes and runs to maintain rhythm and fluidity in play.

Possible Questions for Players:

  • How can you position yourself to make the next pass easier for your teammate?

  • What should you do before receiving the ball?

  • How can you maintain a consistent tempo during the drill?

  • When is the best time to play the ball into the central zone?

Key Outcomes:

  • Improved passing accuracy and speed.

  • Better movement off the ball to create space.

  • Development of combination play and positioning fundamentals.
