Setup:

  • Shape: As showed in the video.

  • Stations: Mark cones for passing points, including a starting point, forward pass, backward pass, diagonal pass, give-and-go zone, and through-pass zone.

  • Distance: Adjust based on player ability (8–12 meters between stations).

Objective:

  • Develop precision in one-touch passing, and a seamless combination of varied passes culminating in a through pass.

Drill Structure:

  • Start:

    • Player A begins with a pass forward to Player B (one touch).

  • Backward Pass:

    • Player B returns the ball to Player A (one touch).

  • Diagonal Pass:

    • Player A switches to Player C with a diagonal pass (one touch).

  • Give-and-Go:

    • Player C plays a wall pass (give-and-go) with Player B (one touch each).

  • Two-Touch and Through Pass:

    • Player D takes two touches to control and prepares a through pass to Player E, who runs into space.

Key Coaching Points:

  • One-Touch Precision:

    • Ensure passes are firm and accurate.

  • Body Positioning:

    • Open body shape to receive and pass quickly.

  • Communication:

    • Call for the ball and give verbal cues for movement.

  • Timing and Movement:

    • Runs should be timed to avoid delays in combinations.

  • Two-Touch Preparation:

    • Use the first touch to control and the second to deliver a decisive through pass.

Progressions:

  • Introduce a Defender: Add passive pressure to challenge timing and accuracy.
