Setup:
Shape: Arrange cones in a diamond shape with 10 meters between each cone (adjustable based on players’ level and training goals).
Players: 4-6 players per diamond.
Ball: 1 ball per group.
Instructions:
Players pass around the diamond, alternating between one-touch passing and two-touch passing depending on the designated areas.
Encourage movement into space after passing to maintain rhythm and flow.
Objective:
Develop players’ technical ability in passing and receiving, focusing on body positioning, first-touch quality, and decision-making under varying passing constraints.
Key Coaching Points:
Body Positioning: Open body to the field for better vision and control.
First Touch: Use the far leg to guide the ball into space, preparing for the next pass.
Fake Before Receiving: Create space by faking movement before receiving the ball.
Passing Accuracy: Firm, precise passes to the correct foot of the receiver.
Timing: Ensure passes and movements are synchronized to maintain flow.
Scanning: Look up before receiving to anticipate the next action.
Communication: Verbal and non-verbal cues to enhance teamwork.
Speed of Play: Adjust tempo between one-touch and two-touch areas to simulate game conditions.
